Mustangs win 4th straight in women's basketball

Auburn, ME (CMCC) - Playing their first back-to-back of the young season, the even younger Mustangs adjusted throughout the afternoon, pulling away from the Rams for the 76-45 win. All 15 Mustangs played at least 7-minutes, with 13 finding the scoring column. 

Leading the charge again was Safena Te Nana-Williams (Auckland, NZ) who scored a game-high 13 points to go along with her 6 steals and 5 assists. Kali Thompson (Waterville, ME) and Destiny Mora Lopez (The Dalles, OR) pulled down a team-high 7 rebounds a piece. Leata Te Nana-Williams recorded 5 points, 5 rebounds, and a career-high, game-high 8 steals.

Essence Richardson led the Rams with 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks.

Once again, CM dominated the boards, pulling down 29 offensive rebounds for a +13 rebounding margin.

With the win the Mustangs improve to 4-0 overall. They will be back in action this week with a trio of road games. First up, on Wednesday they take on UMaine Augusta in a crucial Yankee Conference matchup. This weekend, CM makes the long trip up to Aroostook county to take on UMaine Fort Kent (Saturday), and UMaine Presque Isle (Sunday).
