  • Article XVII Section 4G of USCAA Constitution is changed to allow all seniors at a USCAA institution to take less than 12 credit hours as long as they are taking the necessary credits to graduate
  • Three Hour Rule for Weekday Playoff Games -  The three hour rule will be in effect for weekday playoff games.
  • “Any team that forfeits a contest due to the ejection of the coach, shall be prohibited from participating in playoff competition for the season in which the ejection occurs.”

Conference Progression

 
  • New England Collegiate Association (NECA) is established in conjunction with the YSCC as a developmental conference for schools who are not yet ready to make the transition to the USCAA
  • New website: www.yankeeathletics.org
  • Golf: YSCC teams must participate in two YSCC events to qualify for the YSCC tournament and an individual golfer needs to have played in at least one YSCC event to qualify for the YSCC Tournament.
  • All schools are encouraged to utilize a stat program for ease of reporting statistical information.

  • Any team that forfeits a game in the regular season is banned from YSCC postseason play
  • Coaches that are ejected must sit out a game.  IF a team has no assistant coach, then the game gets forfeited.  A forfeit renders a team ineligible for YSCC post season play.
  • All sports are being conducted in accordance with NCAA rules.

  • Forfeit Rule – Forfeiting team is responsible for officials, game management expenses, etc.   Moreover, any team that forfeits is not eligible to participate in a championship playoff
  • Unlimited substitutions permitted in soccer
  • 10 run mercy rule in baseball and softball
  • Article V: Meetings – Section 1, was replaced with the following language: “To transact the business of the Conference, at least four meetings shall be held during the school year.  Meetings will be determined for the following year at the last meeting of the year.”
  • Article VI:  Administration –Section 1 was replaced with the following language“A quorum shall consider of at least fifty one percent of the Conference members.”
  • The three hour rule will not be applicable for weekend playoff games.

  • Conference utilized a graduate class in Sports Management at the University of Southern New Hampshire to develop, as a class project, a strategic plan to guide the growth of the YSCC over the next five years. This project will provide the Conference with a framework of ideas and issues which the Conference can use to develop its own strategic plan for the years ahead.
