Concord, NH:  In a pitcher’s duel, NHTI defeated CSJ 1-0 behind the pitching of tournament MVP Tori Lemay (Manchester) who struck out 15 batters while scattering 3 hits.
 
The Lynx scored the only run of the game in the third inning with Emma Gagnon (Pembroke) walked and advanced to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Alex Pellerin (Manchester). Gagnon then scored on a single to left field by shortstop Kate Andritz (Stark) for what proved to be the game winning run.
 
CSJ’s Maggie Miller pitched a fabulous 5 hit game striking out 5 NHTI batters in the loss.
 
Andritz had two hits for NHTI and teammate Masha Lange (Plaistow) had a double as well for the Lynx.
 
NHTI will be heading to Akron, Ohio for the USCAA World Series May 10-14 accepting the bid as the # 6 seed. The Lynx will play Penn St. Brandywine at 2 pm on Monday, May 11.
 
Game # 2 highlights: NHTI advanced to the YSCC final behind the pitching of YSCC Player of the Year Tori Lemay (Manchester) who earned the win striking out 8 batters with Lindsey Hampson (Manchester) also pitching for the Lynx. NHTI defeated CMCC 18-1 to advance to the conference final.
 
NHTI was paced by YSCC All-Conference Masha Lange (Plaistow) who went 4-4 from the plate scoring four runs to lead the way for the Lynx offensively. Catcher Megan Howard (Amherst) was 3-4 with 4 rbi’s,  and Joardyn Douillette (Loudon) contributed 3 hits and scored 2 runs for the Lynx.
 
NHTI advances to play CSJ in the YSCC final at 3 PM.
 
Game # 1 highlights: CSJ’s Maggie Miller was perfect from the mound striking out 16 SMCC batters to lead the Saints to a 6-0 win over the Seawolves in the first game of the YSCC Final 4.
 
The College of St. Joseph’s scored 3 runs in the third inning, 2 in the fourth and 1 run in the sixth collecting only 4 hits. The Saints capitalized on 3 SMCC errors and some timely hits by Allison Hinton, Krysta Konderwich and Alana Todd to earn the win and advance to the YSCC final game at 3 PM vs. the CMCC/NHTI winner.
 
SMCC’s duo of Erica Brochu and Charlotte Lewis were solid from the pitchers circle for the Seawolves allowing only 4 hits over the game.
 
In between games number 1 and number 2, the YSCC All-Conference Awards were presented.
