YSCC Player of the Week Awards

(YSCC) - Here are more YSCC Player of the Week Awards

SOFTBALL
Sara Ring, Southern Maine CC (Fy., IF - Wells, Maine, 11)

Ring recorded a .778 batting average (7-9) including two-extra base hits and four walks spanning four games last week. The clean-up hitter recorded 3 RBIs and six runs to go along with a perfect fielding percentage from behind the plate. The first-year player reached base 84.6 % of the time and hit for a 1.000 slugging percentage.

BASEBALL

Mike Sterritt, Great Bay C.C. (Fr, Outfielder - Exeter, NH, 7)

Mike Sterritt, A freshman outfielder from Exeter, NH, played a stellar game against the University of New Hampshire- Club team on Friday evening. The Herons traveled to UNH for a game under the lights where Sterritt went 4 for 4 with a single, a double, two triples and 3 RBIs. Sterritt has proven early on that he will be a force this Spring.

Cody Bryant, Southern Maine CC (So., OF - Somersworth, N.H., 1)

Bryant was an impressive 7-10 (.700) in 11 plate appearances spanning three games last week. The center fielder recorded a .727 on-base-percentage and a .800 slugging percentage. Bryant collected four RBIs and six runs scored, including the game-winning run in SMCC's walk-off over Massasoit CC on Sunday, Apr. 8. Bryant was perfect defensively recording two assists from the outfield. The sophomore also made his first pitching appearance of the season throwing 2.1 innings of no-run baseball.
