Two SMCC Seawolves take home USCAA Player of the Week honors

(YSCC) -- For the third straight week, the Yankee Small College Conference is pleased to announce two student/athletes have taken home USCAA Playert of the Week awards. 

USCAA DIV II WOMEN'S SOCCER
Jessica Haskell | Southern Maine CC | JR | Midfielder

Jessica Haskell of Southern Maine Community College is the USCAA Women's Division II Soccer Player of the Week. Jessica, a junior, totaled five goals and two assists in two games last week. This propelled the Lady Seawolves to maintain their perfect start to the season; they are now 5-0. She had a breakout performance in SMCC's 6-2 win over Central Maine Community College when she scored four goals and contributed with two assists.

USCAA DIV II MEN'S SOCCER
Camden Labrecque | Southern Maine CC FR | G

Camden Labrecque of the Southern Maine Community College is the USCAA Men's Division II Soccer Goalie of the Week. First-year goalkeeper Labrecque logged two wins last week to allow just one goal in 18 opportunities. He also recorded his second shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over Paul Smith's College. Labrecque ended the week with 17 saves and a save percentage of 94.4.
