(YSCC) - The Yankee Small College Conference is proud to announce the athletes of the week awards for Week 13 of the 2019-2020 Winter sports season. 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Tate scored 29 points and hauled in 13 rebounds as she led her team to a 61-48 win over #3 Nationally Ranked Central Maine Community College securing a 13-3 record and second-place finish in the Yankee Small College Conference. In less than 24 hours later, Tate scored 35 points in a 76-67 loss at SMCC. Tate continues to lead both the USCAA and YSCC in scoring average.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

George Mortimer | Great Bay CC | SO | G

George Mortimer had an outstanding week for the Great Bay Herons, helping lead the team to a 102-83 win at home vs. Maine Augusta. George finished the contest with 38 points on 14/19 from the field, six rebounds, and three assists.
