YSCC looking for Twin All-Decade Team nominations
(YSCC) -- The Yankee Small College Conference is seeking nominations for recognition of the Twin All-Decade Team. Players in the following sports will be considered:
Cross Country
Golf
Women's Soccer
Men's Soccer
Women's Basketball
Men's Basketball
Baseball
Softball
Women's Volleyball
The Yankee Conference began in 2005 with the consolidation of the NNESCC, (Northern New England Small College Conference), the YSCC, (Yankee Small College Conference), and lastly the MSCC, (Maine Small College Conference.) The selection process will consider the players who played 2000-05 as part of those conferences. Having said that, the national organization at the time the NSCAA, (National Small College Athletic Association) offered national awards as well. From 2005 forward, the USCAA became the national affiliate of the newly formed Yankee Conference. All players from 2000-2020 are considered for the Yankee Conference Twin All-Decade Team.
The following are the criteria that should be used in the selection process for the twin all-decade Yankee Conference teams.
1. Priority will be given to the first team NSCAA/USCAA All Americans.
2. The second consideration will be a priority for the second team NSCAA/USCAA All Americans.
3. Players must have left home school in good academic standing.
4. All student/athletes at a college who have participated- and college is/was a paid member in the above-stated associations quality for recognition. Ie: schools who left the association
5. In the event of too many All Americans to consider—women's and men's basketball/soccer, consideration will be given to student/athlete's statistical performance, team records, personal awards, and value to the association.
