RUSSMATT CENTRAL FLORIDA INVITATIONAL—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team took one from the Mott Community College Bears in an afternoon doubleheader at Disney on Tuesday, Mar. 13.
The SeaWolves dropped game one 10-5 to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) team out of Flint, Mich., but rallied to defeat the Bears by a three-run spread 12-9 in part two.
SMCC puts a stamp on a 3-4 record with two games remaining at the Russmatt Invitational. The SeaWolves combine the fall for a 14-7 record overall.
The SeaWolves conclude their nine-game slate in Florida on Wednesday, Mar. 13 with a double date vs. Waubonsee Community College (Ill.) at Lake Myrtle Park in Auburndale, Fl. SMCC split with the Chiefs to kick off the Russmatt earlier this week. First pitch is scheduled for 9 a.m.
