Saint Joe’s cruises past NHTI in the quarterfinals

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine – Dre Anderson scored 33 points and shot 13 for 16 from the floor as Saint Joseph's College of Vermont cruised past NHTI 96-59 to move on the Yankee Small College Conference Elite Eight Tournament Final Four.

The Saints will tip-off against Southern Maine Community College at 6:00 pm on Saturday night.

Saint Joe's opened the game with a 14-4 run, including ten points from Anderson and from there it was all Saints as head coach Phil Bartlett's team closed the half with eight three pointers while shooting 50 percent from the floor. Saint Joe's went on to shoot 50 percent from the field for the game, going 35-70 while out-rebounding the Lynx 48 to 29.

Dee Anderson and Ramel Anderson were also in double-digits for the Saints, with 17 and 14 points, respectively. Kashean Alston kicked in a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 12 boards.

NHTI was led by Curtis Williams, who scored 13 points, while Ethan Rutledge was the only other Lynx in double figures scoring 12.
