Men’s Basketball Stays Perfect With YSCC Road Win

PAUL SMITHS, N.Y.— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team defeated the Bobcats from Paul Smith's College by a 36-point margin on Friday, Nov. 10 to stay perfect through five games to begin the 2017-18 season. The SeaWolves' offense clicked for 97 points, a season-high, and limited the opposition to 61 points, 12 fewer than last year's meeting.

Following the game, Assistant Coach AJ Burton reflected, "It was great to see so many guys step up and play a role in a truly balanced attack, especially after a long overnight trip. The composure displayed in the execution of the game plan was well received by the coaching staff. We still have a long road ahead of us, but are making strides in the right direction."

The SeaWolves begin their conference schedule 1-0 and keep pace with Central Maine Community College as the only YSCC teams still undefeated at 5-0 overall. Paul Smith's begin 0-1 in conference play, 1-3 overall.

SMCC returns home to play St. Clair County Community College (Port Huron, Mich.) in a non-conference showdown on Sunday, Nov. 12. Tip-off from The HUB is scheduled for 1 p.m. WATCH on SeaWolves Live TV or track LIVE STATS.
