UMA men fall to UMFK

FORT KENT, Maine (UMA) —The University of Maine at Augusta traveled to Fort Kent, ME over the weekend to take on the Bengals from the University of Maine at Fort Kent.  The Bengals used their home court advantage to jet out to a quick lead against the Moose.  While the Moose found their rythem after the halfway mark of the first half, the found themselves down 19 points at the half; 56-37.

A spark was ignited for the Moose as they came out of halftime.  The Moose found their hot hands outside of the arc, connecting on 21 3-pointers.  The surge was led by Senior, Jordon Holmes who had a team high, 27 points, followed by Dustin Simpson-Bragg with 23 and Noah Thompson with 20.  While the Moose outscored the Bengals in the second half by 9 points, it was ultimately not enough to get them the game. 

UMFK was lead by Johnathon Caldwell who scored 30 points while Thomas Enerva pulled down 11 boards.  

The Moose are back in action on Saturday, November 18th when they face off against YSCC opponent Paul Smith's College in Lake Placid, NY.
