Mustangs Scratch Road Win Over Bobcats

Paul Smith, NY – After traveling seven hours, and trailing for thirty-four minutes of basketball, the Mustangs finally edged ahead of a stubborn Bobcat squad taking a 66-64 lead with six minutes remaining in the game.  It was the first lead the Mustangs had all game and were able to hang on the defeat the home team 75-72 in New York.

This was the first game back from the break and with the extended travel, the weary Mustangs limped through the first half with poor shooting and miscues.  It showed on the scoreboard with the Mustangs trailing 29-21.

The squad transitioned into a 3-2 zone and got its mo jo back in the middle of the second half with Luke McCusker coming off the bench to hit some key shots, and Mark McDonald and Nic Dieynck both making solid contributions down the stretch.

The Mustangs increase their league leading record to 9-1 and 13-4 overall.
