Knights lose in double OT at home

RANDOLPH CENTER, VT (Vermont Tech) -- The Knights lost another close battle 2-1 in overtime. Phillip Hepburn (Milton, VT) struck a free kick past Southern Vermont goalkeeper Matthew Hatch in the 38^th minute of play. But the one goal lead was short lived when Southern Vermont Paddy McGovern converted just a minute later evening the game at one.

The teams battled to a scoreless second half even though the Knights seemed to be controlling and providing many offensive opportunities they were unable to slip one past Hatch. The game was scoreless through the first overtime period.

Two minutes into the 2^nd overtime period Southern Vermont Daniel Rangel collected a rebound and slipped it past the outreach dive of Knights goalkeeper Scott Durkee (Chelsea, VT). The Knighst take their 2^nd hard overtime loss at home, but look to bounce back Sunday September 18^th as they host SUNY Delhi at 2pm.
