Eaton record first career win in NHTI win

CONCORD, NH (NHTI) – The NHTI men's soccer team scored four first half goals to roll to a 5-0 victory over Unity College in a Yankee Small College Conference season opener. The Lynx scored their first goal of the season of a shot from freshman Cole Owens in the 22nd minute of the game. Ridha Al Jumaili, Jake Davis, Jeremy Caruso and Tim Bortnick added a goal each for NHTI. Jackson Schneider assisted in a pair of goals and Caruso added an assist just before his goal.

"Our offense played well today and so did goalkeeper John Paul (JP) Eaton," said head coach Sean Fischer. "Eaton only had one save on the stat sheet but broke up numerous opportunities before they developed into scoring chances," added Fischer.

The Lynx outshot Unity 18-4 and spent most of the day on the offensive side of the field.

NHTI will head to the College of Saint Joseph's (Vt.) Wednesday (Sept. 6) at 4:30 p.m.
