CONCORD, N.H. – The NHTI men's soccer team blanked the top seeded College of Saint Joseph's, 2-0 on a rain soaked Sunday in the Yankee Small College Conference championship.

The Lynx scored the first goal of game in the 25th minute off the foot of freshman Jackson Schneider (Manchester, N.H.) from 20 yards out that hit off the crossbar just out of the reach of the Fighting Saints keeper.

NHTI added an insurance goal in the 65 minute on a penalty kick from junior Jeremy Caruso (Pembroke, N.H.). Caruso scored on the PK after he was tackled in the box while trying to control a pass.

Eaton's shutout in the championship earned him the tournament MVP. Schneider was named Offensive Player of the Tournament and junior Cam Ferry (Manchester, N.H.) earned Defensive Player of the Tournament.

The Lynx won their sixth YSCC championship and their second in the three years. The team will head to Virginia Beach, Va. November 10 for the United States Collegiate College Conference
