NHTI Softball Players honored at USCAA National Banquet

Canton, Ohio: Two NHTI softball players were honored at the USCAA All-American Softball banquet. Star pitcher Tori Lemay (Manchester) and Masha Lange (Plaistow) were honored as first team USCAA softball players. Lemay was also recognized as an USCAA All-Academic team.

NHTI recently captured the YSCC spring championship defeating the College of St. Joseph’s 1-0 behind a 15 strikeout performance from star pitcher Tori Lemay (Manchester). Lemay has been a consistent performer for the Lynx for the past two years and was named the YSCC tournament MVP for her performance.

Masha Lange (Plaistow) is batting .705 for the spring with 10 home runs and 42 rbi’s. A speedy and versatile player, Lange can play centerfield or shortstop. She was named the Outstanding Offensive player of the YSCC tournament.

Coach Kerry Finnigan is now in his third year at the helm leading NHTI to a fine 22-2 overall record (fall and spring) with an undefeated 16-0 record this spring. The Lynx will be the # 6 seed playing the # 3 seed Penn St. Brandywine at 2 PM on Monday.

Southern Maine Community College's Charlotte Lewis was named a USCAA Third Team All-American.  She had 15 wins adn an ERA of 3.90.
