NHTI shuts out PSU Brandywine 6-0 in USCAA National Tournament first game

Akron, Ohio: NHTI defeats PSU Brandywine 6-0 behind a 15 strikeout performance from USCAA All-American pitcher Tori Lemay (Manchester).

The Lynx scored 3 runs in the second inning capitalizing on timely hits and and 2 Lions errors. Jenna Beaulieu (Troy) and Alex Pellerin (Manchester) drove in Lynx runners to help NHTI take the early lead.

In the sixth inning, NHTI scored three more runs with key hits by USCAA All-American Masha Lange (Plaistow) and Pellerin moving Lynx runners around the bases to increase the lead to 6-0.

Lemay was dominant from the mound limiting PSU Brandywine to only 4 hits as the number 6 seeded NHTI advances defeating # 4 Lions.

The Lynx will now play the Carlow-St. Joe’s of Brooklyn winner in round 2 at 4 PM on Tuesday.
