Lady SeaWolves Fall Short in Home Opener

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— The Southern Maine Community College softball team dropped both games in an exhibition double header against the Lynx of New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) on Saturday, Sept. 10. SMCC was defeated 8-5 in the first game, and 23-8 in the second.

The Lady SeaWolves collected 11 hits on the day; sophomore Madelyn Wade (Brunswick, Maine) and first-yearEmma Burns (Berwick, Maine) both with three. First-year Nicole Main (Sanford, Maine) delivered two extra-base hits, one a home run. 

Wade, Burns, Main, and first-year Kristen Mackenzie (Seabrook, N.H.) recorded multi-RBI days. 

The action continues when the Lady SeaWolves take on Dean College on Saturday, Sept. 17 in Franklin, Mass. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
