NHTI sweeps USCAA Players of the Week

(YSCC) -- NHTI players grab this weeks YSCC and USCAA Players of the Week.

SOFTBALL
Hannah Winship | NHTI | Freshmen | INF/OF

Hannah Winship of NHTI is the USCAA Softball Player of the Week. The freshmen played in all four contests for the Lynx of NHTI against Yankee Small College Conference rival, Southern Maine CC and nearly hit for a home-run cycle in a game. She started with a three-run shot to center field followed by a 2-run homer before finishing with a grand slam. With her three home-runs, she had 16 RBIs and a slugging percentage over 1.000. This is Hannah's second YSCC Player of the Week.

BASEBALL
Tyler Sargent | NHTI | Sophomore | Pitcher

Tyler Sargent of NHTI is the USCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Sargent pitched 13 innings in two outings against the #8 ranked Southern Maine CC Seawolves and the #15 ranked College of St. Joseph's Vermont Fighting Saints. Against SMCC, he went the distance as the Lynx won in walk-off fashion in the 8th inning. For the week, he gave up seven hits and three runs while striking out 12 batters. The sophomore also hit a 2-run home run against Great Bay CC on Sunday to add to his performance for the week.
