NHTI Womens Soccer runs past Southern Maine, 4-0 in Home Opener

CONCORD, N.H. (NHTI) – NHTI shut out Southern Maine Community College, 4-0 Thursday afternoon in Yankee Small College Conference play. Senior Midfielder Shannon Hart (Swanzey, N.H.) scored a pair of second half goals to inside 10 yards.
Celia Sartwell (Hooksett, N.H.) opened the scoring after beating a defender chipping a five yard shot in to the right side of the net. Alexis Duclos (Epsom, N.H.) scored at the 30 minutes into the first half on a blast from 23 yards out over the out stretched leap of the SeaWolves keeper.
The game was called with 20 minutes remaining after an injury to a NHTI player.
NHTI improves to 3-0-0 on the season and will host the Women's Classic Sponsored by Crockett Titles & Allied Surveying on Saturday and Sunday. The Lynx play Massasoit CC at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Holyoke CC at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday in non-conference action
SMCC falls to 1-1 on the season and host Central Maine CC on Sunday at 2 p.m.
