Lady Saints fall to Paul Smith’s College

(COLLEGE OF ST JOSEPH'S) -- Women's Soccer soccer showed much improved play in a 7-0 loss to Paul Smith's on Sept. 10. The team played hard and never stopped trying, no matter how many goals the opposition was scoring. Paul Smith's was simply too fast and skilled for the Lady Saints to keep up with and they eventually wore the Lady Saints down.

Imani Stephenson took the only two shots on the day for CSJ and one of them was on goal. Paul Smith's goalie Jenny McGinn made an impressive save to keep the ball out of the net.

CSJ goalkeeper Florence Tavares added to her nation-leading save total with 15 more saves against Paul Smith's. Tavares has 61 total saves on the season, which is 19 more than the second best in the USCAA.

The Lady Saints travel to Hampshire College to play their next game on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 4:30 p.m.
