YSCC Players of the Week 2

(YSCC) - Yankee Small College Conference is proud to announce fall sports Players of the Week. Here are this week's winners.

SOFTBALL

Olivia Scott | Central Maine CC | SO | P/IF

Olivia had ten strikeouts in five innings in a spectacular pitching performance. She added four RBI vs SMCC in a win.

WOMEN'S SOCCER

Julia Roemer | ACPHS | SY | F

VOLLEYBALL

Alexandra Cherry | PSC | JR | OH

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Laura Le Floch | UMA | FY

Laura finished 4th overall at the UMA Moose Invitational (5k, 3.11 miles) with a time of 24:52. Laura finished ahead of fellow YSCC/USCAA opponents.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Ryan Chiari | PSC | FY 

Paul Smith's College Ryan Chiari (FR) led the Bobcats this past weekend in the SUNY Canton Kangaroo Invitational with an 18th place as he covered the distance in 32:14. This equates to a 4:01 per kilometer pace, while he took nearly 2 full minutes off his initial 8 K time from a week ago at Vermont Tech.

GOLF

Alex Leupold | Southern Maine CC 

Alex carded a season-low 75 and a first-place finish at The Meadows Golf Club on Sunday, September 18 to help his team win its third straight this season.
