YSCC Players of the Week - Fall Week 4
Here are the Yankee Small College Conference Players of the Week for week four of the fall season.
Men's Soccer - Mitch Cameron (CMCC)
Mitch Cameron posted another great week for Central Maine, scoring two goals against both Word of Life Bible Institute and #10-ranked Paul Smith's College. The sophomore midfielder also chipped in two assists against the Huskies, finishing the week with six goal contributions. Cameron currently leads the USCAA in both goals and points.
Women's Soccer - Jaelyn Poitras (CMCC)
Jaelyn Poitras provided an outstanding performance in Central Maine's 5–2 comeback victory over Word of Life. The freshman tallied a natural hat trick against the Huskies before assisting on the final two Mustang goals, directly contributing to all five scores. Poitras now leads CMCC in goals, points, and shots on the season.
Golf - Will Farschon (SMCC)
Will Farschon began with a one-over 72 at the SMCC Invitational on Sunday. Farschon followed that up with a three-under 69 at the NHTI Invitational, finishing second overall. He closed out the week firing a three-under 68 to take first place at the Great Bay CC Invitational. Over three consecutive rounds, Farschon went a combined five-under par, helping the team to three first place finishes.
Volleyball - Meryk Lewellen (SMCC)
Meryk Lewellen delivered a standout week for SMCC Volleyball, recording 26 kills, 8 service aces, and 35.5 total points across two matches. She was efficient, hitting .676 over seven sets while also adding five digs and two blocks. Lewellen averaged 3.71 kills and 5.1 points per set to lead the Seawolves' offense.
Baseball - Elijah Greenleaft (YCCC)
Elijah Greenleaf powered York County CC at the plate this week, hitting .417 with a .533 on-base percentage and a .917 slugging percentage over four games. The freshman outfielder collected five hits — including three doubles and a home run — while driving in four runs and scoring twice.
