HORNETS OUTLAST VTSU-RANDOLPH IN FIRST DAY OF CLASSIC
Lyndonville, VT: On Saturday the Vermont State Randolph Women's Basketball team faced off against their sister campus VTSU- Lyndon in the opening day of the Vermont State University Tip-Off Classic. After a strong first quarter that saw the Lady Knights with a 2 point lead. VTSU Lyndon would outscore Randolph 45-26 over the next couple of quarters. After a back and forth 4th quarter, the Knights were unable to make up the deficit as they fell to the Hornets 77-58.

Yvonne Roberge filled the stat sheet with a game high 25 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assist, and 5 steals.
First Year player Marielle Benoit continues her strong collegiate start finishing with 19 points.
VTSU Lyndon's Ella Huntington led the Hornets with 20 points, 5 assist and 4 steals.
VTSU Lyndon's Sage Smith and Niyjah Wright added 15 and 12 respectively.
