NAIL-BITER WIN FOR THE BOBCATS!
ALBANY, NEW YORK - The Bobcats hosted NHTI Lynx on Sunday afternoon in a nail-biter fast paced game at the Washington Avenue Armory. With seconds left in the game, the score was 74-74 and somehow Charles Echols wrangled in a shot for the 76-74 final score and win. " I wasn't thinking;........coach said win any way you can. " Charles Echols NHTI is ranKed #4 in the country in USCAA, Division II, while the Bobcats are Division I and entered into the match with a 13-3 record.
"So proud of this group. They gritted out another tough win against a solid opponent. Amari Scott hit huge 3's for us down the stretch and Charles sealed it with a crazy runner on the baseline. This was a complete group effort though. Khallyn Lafond continues to play amazing on both ends of the floor. Kyle Brown has stepped up and given us steady minutes running the point. Shamar is coming along and getting better every game. Very excited for this group. It doesn't get easier though as we have BSC Buffalo coming to town on Wednesday." Michael Shewmaker, Head Basketball Coach
