Concord, NH – Malik Farley and DeMarco McKissic both locked in a double-double Friday as the Mustangs rolled over Mass Bay Community College in the first game of the Edward NelsonTap-Off Tournament hosted by NHTI.
Farley registered 14 points and 11 rebounds and McKissic hauled down 14 rebounds and added 11 points.
The contest started off slow for the Mustangs as it took five minutes before the squad scored. After a Josh Chery three (4-6), the boys got rolling and keep moving forward. CM went into halftime on top of a 37-32 lead.
The second half was all CM. Chery could not be stopped and between Josh, DeMarco, Farley, and Cal Horowitz, the Mustangs owned the glass.
A 16-4 run early in the second half—generated by the Mustang defense, and the inception in the game of Grant Greene, propelled the squad to victory.
Josh Chery led the team with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Corey David chipped in with 13 points and added 5 steals to his stat line.
