SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (YSCC)–Great Bay Community College secured the Yankee Small College Conference Championship with a dominant 71-55 victory over Vermont State University Randolph. The title win was fueled by standout performances, including Tournament MVP Theodore Wolfe, Offensive Player of the Tournament Keith Landry, and Defensive Player of the Tournament Shandon Danne-Anderson.
Great Bay C.C. (21-5, 13-3 YSCC) set the tone early, jumping out to a 35-27 halftime lead and maintaining their defensive intensity throughout the second half. Vermont State University Randolph (20-11, 12-4 YSCC) fought hard, but their struggles from beyond the arc (26.1% from three) and turnovers proved costly against a relentless Great Bay squad.
Theo Wolfe, the tournament MVP, led the way with a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds, adding four assists and anchoring Great Bay's interior defense. His dominance on the boards and ability to finish inside proved to be a difference-maker.
Keith Landry, named Offensive Player of the Tournament, showcased his shooting touch by pouring in 17 points, including five three-pointers. His outside shooting helped space the floor and break down Vermont State Randolph's defense.
On the defensive end, Shandon Danne-Anderson was recognized as the Defensive Player of the Tournament, disrupting passing lanes and limiting Vermont's offensive threats. His presence helped hold Randolph to just 36.4% shooting from the field.
