NHTI wins 2016 YSCC Volleyball Championship

UNITY, Maine (YSCC Sports) -- The NHTI Lynx are your 2016 YSCC Volleyball Champions

3rd set NHTI all the way, winning 25 - 16. Bobcats fought hard the whole way, but NHTI prevails. 

2nd Set NHTI took a large lead, but the Bobcats fought to close the gap to one. Second half of the set, the Lynx poured it on to take the set 25 - 11. 

1st set NHTI took the first set 25 - 20 in a very back and forth set. The strong net play helped the Lynx capture the 5 point set victory. 

QUARTER FINALS
(4) Paul Smith's made the YSCC Championship Finals with a rousing 3 set to 1 win over (1) Unity. 
Paul Smith's jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back, taking the first set 25-13. The second set was much tighter, but solid play around the net resulted in a 25 - 22 win for the two sets to none lead.

Host and top-seeded Unity College recovered, taking the third set 25 - 19, in the best of 5 set match.

Unity looked to tie things up, coming out strong and setting the tone in the fourth. The Rams led by as many as 5 in the set until a furious comeback by the Bobcats tied the set at 21. 
Bobcat's FR Paige Farrington made many key plays down the stretch. 
Paul Smith's locked up their spot in the finals with the 25 - 22 win for the set and match.

(2) NHTI swept (3) Maine Machias 3 sets to none to earn their spot in the finals.
