YSCC Players of the Week for September 14

(YSCC) - Another week in the books for the Yankee Small College Conference. Here is the list of this week's YSCC Players of the week: 

WOMEN'S SOCCER

Emily scored a hattrick this past week against conference foe Vermont Tech

MEN'S SOCCER

Anes Bostandzic | Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences | SR | F

Anes Bostandzic of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences scored two goals to take home the award this week. Anes currently leads the YSCC in goals and points.

VOLLEYBALL

Alexandra Cherry | Paul Smith's College | SO | OH

Sophomore outside hitter for the Bobcats, Alli lead them to two victories with her overall steady play. She lead the team with seventeen kills, nine aces and twenty-three digs. Not noted in the stats is her ability to make other players better, helping them to succeed.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Kiara Audette | York County Community College | FR 

In Kiana's first collegiate race, she was the top Yankee Small College Conference runner and finished 18th place overall against the remaining NCAA Division III runners. Kiara finished a challenging course in Vermont with a 5K time of 21:53.31. Kiara is a first-year student at York County Community College and is majoring in Behavioral Health Studies with aspirations of being a psychologist. She is a 2021 graduate of Robert W. Traip Academy in Elliot, Maine, a National Honor Society student, and graduated summa cum laude. She was a three-time all-conference athlete and was named MVP two years in a row. In her spare time, Kiara loves drawing, painting, and sewing

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Michael Mott | NHTI | FR

GOLF

Nate Stevens | NHTI 

Nate Stevens starred for the Lynx on the course this week, taking each event's top individual score. Stevens started shooting a 79 in the NHTI Invitational before following up with a 73 on Sunday at the VTC Invitational.
