YSCC Final Four Weekend Set for Exciting Matchups

The 2025 Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) basketball Final Four tournament will take place Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2, hosted by Southern Maine Community College in South Portland, Maine, at the HUB. Fans can catch all the action live in person or via the YSCC Sports Network stream, available for a one-time fee of $15. Entry at the door is $8 per person.

The road to the 2025 YSCC basketball championship culminates this weekend as the Final Four teams in both men's and women's divisions battle for a shot at the title. With top-seeded teams looking to defend their dominance and lower seeds eager to upset the bracket, fans can expect an intense and competitive weekend of basketball action.

Women's Semifinals

No. 1 University of Maine-Augusta vs. No. 4 Southern Maine Community College
Top-seeded University of Maine-Augusta (UMA) enters the semifinal led by standout players Sage Fortin, Alisyn Alley and Bella Petrocci. UMA has showcased a well-balanced attack all season and will look to continue its strong form against Southern Maine Community College (SMCC). The SeaWolves, anchored by Ashley Mullen, will aim to challenge UMA's defensive setups and push the pace in transition.

No. 2 Central Maine Community College vs. No. 3 Paul Smith's College
Central Maine Community College (CMCC) comes into the tournament with a formidable roster featuring Ella Lavigne and Ava Smith. The Mustangs will rely on their aggressive defensive schemes and quick ball movement to overcome Paul Smith's College (PSC). PSC, led by Holly Bagley and DaVyne Johnson, has proven to be a tough opponent throughout the season and will look to capitalize on its ability to score from beyond the arc.

Men's Semifinals

No. 1 Great Bay Community College vs. No. 4 Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
Great Bay Community College (GBCC) enters the men's bracket as the top seed, powered by key players Theo Wolfe and Mpore Semuhoza. The duo has been instrumental in GBCC's dominance this season, controlling both ends of the floor. Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS), however, has its own powerhouse in Brett Richards, a skilled leader who can turn the game around with his scoring and defensive prowess.

No. 2 Central Maine Community College vs. No. 3 Vermont State University-Randolph
Central Maine Community College will count on Khaden Moore and Will Duke to provide offensive firepower and defensive stability as they face off against Vermont State University-Randolph. VSU-Randolph, led by Jaylon Calvin and Jaden Clark, has shown resilience throughout the season and will look to make a statement against the higher-seeded Mustangs.

T-shirts will be available for purchase, with team preorders at $10 per shirt and day-of purchases at $15 per shirt. A concession stand will be open throughout the tournament, offering hot dogs, burgers, candy, chips, water, Gatorade, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Mountain Dew for cash-only purchases.
